David White

David White

is a founding member of the Boston law firm Breakstone, White & Gluck, PC, where he concentrates in personal injury and professional liability claims, primarily for plaintiffs, business litigation, and claims against insurance companies for bad faith insurance practices. Mr. White is a past-president of the Massachusetts Bar Association, where he led efforts on sentencing reform and on environmental awareness for lawyers. He has also been a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars throughout Massachusetts on a wide range of matters, including trial practice, the Consumer Protection Act, and law firm management.

Mr. White is a graduate of the University of Vermont (B.S. in environmental studies, 1978) and of Northeastern University School of Law (1984). Immediately after law school, he served for one year as a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Mr. White is also active in open space preservation efforts in his community of Westwood, where he helped lead many conservation efforts, and where he founded the Westwood Land Trust, Inc., a private, nonprofit organization. He is also an active bicycle safety advocate. His firm has donated over 3,000 bicycle helmets to children in Massachusetts over the last two years, and he is a member of the Westwood Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee.
