CYCLE Kids founder Receives President’s Council on Fitness Community Leadership Award

Cambridge, MA—The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition (PCFSN) has selected CYCLE Kids founder Julianne Idlet to receive a 2013 PCFSN Community Leadership Award.  The award is given annually to individuals or organizations who improve the lives of others within their community by providing or enhancing opportunities to engage in sports, physical activities, fitness or nutrition-related programs.

The Consequences of an Inactive Childhood

We all read and hear about how unhealthy we are becoming as a society, as a nation, and globally.  Most of you reading this post will be fortunate enough to understand the importance of having a healthy lifestyle, and include exercise and good nutrition habits in your daily lives.  But there are many who do not yet understand the importance of such.  So many, in fact, that the overweight physical condition of people today, due to inactivity and poor eating habits, has been identified as a global crisis.
