Barry A. Adelman

is a senior partner at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP in New York. Barry represents and counsels domestic and international clients in a broad range of activities, including mergers and acquisitions, issuances of equity and debt securities, commercial financings, and the formation and structuring of domestic and international corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures. He has represented various clients in the formation of joint ventures for telecommunications transactions (and the subsequent acquisitions and dispositions of telecommunications systems) in Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, Africa, Iceland, South America, and the Caribbean. He also represents and advises individuals and families in connection with business and financial transactions, as well as personal matters.

Barry has been an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School for more than 10 years teaching a seminar “Anatomy of a Deal” which is a practical introduction to mergers and acquisitions. Barry graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1966 and received his JD from the University of Michigan in 1969.
